Newborn Care - Nursing Home Care

Are you a parent who has spent months in NICU with your precious little one, and now you have come home and miss that nursing support? Moana Care can offer respite in your home while you go out for appointments or lunch or just really need a day to run errands. You can rest assured that your little one is cared for by loving, knowledgable hands.
Moana Care offers care by a Registered Nurse, with specialised Neonatal (NICU/SCN) training, and is able to take care of your baby - whether they have complex medical needs or not. We can safely administer medications, oxygen or breathing apparatus such as CPAP, bottle feed or tube feed your baby, and care for them while you are away - or even busy working from home.

We will spend time with you prior to your departure to learn what care your baby requires specifically, and take care of the rest. We will contact you hourly with a photo and updates on your baby's day.

Mother/Parent Care - Nursing Home Care

At times a mother may require unplanned surgery in the early days postpartum, from wound revision, infection, gall bladder surgery, appendix removal, or other unplanned surgeries that leave one bed bound at times, or requiring nursing care or assistance with their baby.

Moana Care can visit your home and provide nursing care to you, and or also look after your baby, passing baby to you for breastfeeding, or taking complete care of baby while you rest.

Moana Care is able to invoice for self paying, self managed or plan managed NDIS participants.

Night Nanny

Hours 10pm - 6am

A Registered Neonatal Nurse will come to your home at 10pm, listen to a quick run down of where you keep the basics and any particulars about your baby, and send you off to bed to have a relaxing rest. The nurse will be able to feed baby, or bring baby to you for breastfeeding, and take baby away for burping, changing and settling. The benefits of having a night nanny for a number of nights can be beneficial for both recharging your sleep batteries, and setting good patterns and routines of sleep. A night nanny is not only beneficial for newborns, but also babies going through changes in sleep habits, also known as 'sleep regressions'. This can develop good sleep hygiene for the whole family.

A night nanny tends to chores directly related to baby's care, and also sleeps while baby sleeps.
